To ask how to open the hard plastic seal on this container please?

Sorry for the boring AIBU!

I’ve bought this new exfoliator and it’s come with a hard plastic seal on the packaging which I’ve got no idea how to open.

There are no instructions on the packaging for how to open it. Presumably it’s easy to open, but it beats me!

I’ve had a go at prising it open with my nails, looking to se if there’s a catch somewhere that I can pull to open the seal or if maybe I can use the lid upside down (as there’s a little hole in the top of the lid) to prise open the seal.

None of these things have worked so far, so I tried some Googling to find out how to open the seal, but no joy there either.

Any ideas please?

Did you buy it somewhere nearby that you can go and look at another one? It looks like there is meant to be a loop to pull it open that is missing.

It's a powder. Are there holes in that plastic layer that you're trying to remove? Tip it on to your hand and see if the powder comes out.

Ah unfortunately I got it online, from Amazon! I’m going to try and see if I can open up the top with a knife.

Is it one of those where you screw the top on as far as it can go and the lid has a plastic spike to puncture it? A bit like a tube of ointment.

All sorted! Managed to make a hole in the top with a knife, then prise off the outer plastic rim with it. Thanks for your post @Justme2023123!

times and it didn’t work. All sorted now though!
