Being driven demented by this! Please help me identify the song.

I know I love it, and I can remember the overall tune, but not the lyrics.
It's one of the many songs that my first boyfriend - who had excellent taste in music - introduced me to. It's a early 90s indie song with Teenage Fanclub vibes.
The only words I can remember are 'there's a .... big deal'
The ellipsis could possibly be replaced with 'grass stain on my shirt' but this could be absolute nonsense on this part.
It goes without saying that I've googled it to death already.
Any ideas?
