Wake ups at 11, midnight (after which I couldn’t get to sleep until gone 1) and now we’re wide awake and happy at 420 😫😫

(We aren’t: we’ll go back to sleep - in my bed - at around half five,)

Timing impeccable as I’m back at work Monday.

Well I do to, but I'm probably awake for a different reason to you. Wide awake with a migraine so can't sleep. I've taken drugs so it's not bad enough that I can't distant myself with something like mumsnet. But it's painful enough that if I turn the light out I can't sleep.

I think thay depends on how old he is, weather to be to worried (thats isn't the right word but my brain cant think straight right now so can't find anything better) about it.

I don't believe most young people really fully know until they are older as the brain is still developing. He may not change his mind, but all you can do is be supportive.

I hear you. I start back on Monday after maternity leave too. My baby has a temp - I think I've slept for about 90 mins so far.

@pheonixrebirth I bet your mind is going 100 miles an hour. Flowers

wydeawake · 31/08/2024 05:22

Well, thanks @seven201 , at least someone answered me 😩

Sorry, I didn’t read the desperate tone in your first post. Just thought it was a chat type thing. Do friends and family know you are struggling? I know health visitors get a bad rep but some are great - can you talk to them? Or was it just you venting in the night and you’re usually ok? Mine is a shit sleeper - sleep makes such a massive difference.

MigGril · 31/08/2024 08:39

@wydeawake my first was a shit sleeper to, it is hard are there is nothing worse then no sleep. But trust me they do grow out of it.

Squirrelsnut · 31/08/2024 10:52

@wydeawake lack of sleep is really, really hard and can plunge you into very dark places (ask me how I know..). Are you a teacher because you say back to work Monday?
Please reach out to someone; you sound desperate. Do you have PND, possibly?
