Online Rug Cleaning Videos

I’m slightly obsessed with online rug cleaning videos (second only to jet washing videos). However, I am wondering how the rugs get so dirty and how they have a ready supply of completely disgusting rugs to clean. Am I being unreasonable?

It fake. Dirt smushed into rug and filmed cleaning it for clicks.

LoremIpsumCici · 30/08/2024 09:54

It doesn’t take long for rugs to get dirty. I clean mine every two years and we are a no outdoor shoes allowed in the house and pet free family. I imagine a home with pets and shoes on indoors would have filthy rugs in only a year.

I've wondered the same thing!!! Although they are so satisfying that I'm more than happy for them to throw a carpet in a muddy bog just to clean it again for my (and others obviously) entertainment.

NinaGeiger · 30/08/2024 09:54

Sometimes I think the cost of all the hot water outweighs the cost of the rug

TickingAlongNicely · 30/08/2024 09:55

They've obviously be soaked in mud.

But they are very smoothing

Ha I watch them as well sometimes. Never watched a jet washing video though prefer drain unblocking ones.
Also quite fascinated by people trimming cows hooves

The guy I’ve seen a few times buys them at flea markets, estate & garage sales. Rescues them from the dump etc. He’s in the US.

I do prefer pressure washing and lawn care guys though. The lawn care people tend to do foreclosures and bereavement abandoned properties. Do them for free to help the neighbourhoods.

I’ve recently subscribed to a young Uk pressure washer called Diamond Exterior Cleaning and it’s been really nice to see him build his new business and channel up from just a few subscribers.

How is this a thing? Aren't you bored of it after about 5 minutes?

Of all the videos on the internet, this is what people are watching?

Genuinely baffled.

I own a rug cleaning business and you'd be amazed at some of the crap that comes out of people's rugs! Most are dirtier than they look. However, the guys in the videos are getting these rugs from flood damaged homes where rivers have broken banks or whatever. The mud coming out of them is usually silt that's been washed through the house in a major flood incident, it's not normal rug dirt.

Doggymummar · 30/08/2024 10:24

I love them too. Also pressure washing and sand blasting

BlackeyedSusan · 30/08/2024 10:28

From the tip
Flooded houses
Donated for the videos
House fires.

(Mountain cleaning rugs. The only one I'll watch as they clear/drain away the dirty water)
