Hi all

Moving from abroad to the UK. I've done some research about the school process but would like some further guidance. Has anyone used an education consultant? Are they worth it and are their fees reasonable?

One DC in high school and another in primary but has additional needs.

In my experience they are extortionate and not worth the money. For the best, and free, advice about the additional needs education system I would speak to your local IASS charity. Google 'IASS [your Local Authority area]'. Another good source of information is IPSEA, just Google 'IPSEA' and browse their website. Good luck.
