Beeping fridge/freezer after fuse box trip - any advice please?

Late last night, noticed some sockets in the house stopped working.

Thought it could be an issue with the fuse box, which it was. I managed to sort that this morning, so the lights and sockets are all working now.

The only issue is the fridge/freezer was also affected. It still seems very cold and is working fine, but as it warmed up overnight and needs to cool down, that activated an alarm that’s been beeping and which (according to manuals I’ve read online for that fridge/freezer brand - Gaggenau) is likely to continue beeping for a few hours. How long is a few hours?? It’s driving me a bit mad.

When it gets to 3/4pm, and the beeping is still on, I’ll have a look about if I need to do anything. I just wondered in the meantime if this has ever happened to anyone on here?

Not sure if this will do any good but someone once told me to cut the power to the whole house from the consumer box, leave if a few minutes then switch back on. It sometimes works by resetting the circuits etc., same as switching a computer off then on again!

Thanks @JudgeJ! I’ve already sorted the fuse box issue and got all the lights and plug sockets up and running again thankfully. The only issue now is the fridge/freezer beeping, which whilst not a huge problem, is annoying! I wondered if anyone had any idea of when that might stop.

Reset the alarm on the fridge/freezer.

There will be a button/switch somewhere.

Had it last week. Draw of the freezer hadn’t been pushed back properly so the main door wouldn’t close. I was out for a few hours so came home to loud beeping.

Ahh fab, thank you @Witchbitch20 - I’ve now switched it off, which has helped! Do you know roughly how long it might take for the fridge/freezer to cool down fully please? I think probably about 5-6 hours, but not sure.

I don’t sorry @GoldOnyx but I think if the doors are closed things remain frozen for a long time.

When we had a 24 hour power cut the garage chest freezer stayed frozen.

Might be worth searching online the make/model of you fridge to see how the resets are done.

Thanks! Just bumping in case anyone has any further advice on when the fridge/freezer temp might cool back down to what it should be.
