Seems like in both instances, these were men who chose to bring these animals into their homes - possibly in the case of David Daintree, he may have felt coerced into looking after it by a friend/relative and unable to decline, though maybe not - either way, can we start urging our politicians to do more to keep us safe?
Pitbulls were banned in 1991, but obviously this has not been upheld, as there are pitbull or pitbull-type dogs, and their descendants, the XL, in abundance.
I am sick of seeing these needless deaths, and so many maulings and maimings. I don't feel safe in this country, and fear for the safety of my children.
YABU - it's not that many in the grand scheme of things
YANBU - they need to be properly banned, immediately.
How do we get the politicians to affect change?
