Just turning up to Peterborough passport office

Please help. I am due to fly out in the next 3 days. I applied for a passport over 3 weeks ago and my documents received 3 weeks ago.
there seems to be no progress with this other than documents received. I have spoken to various people and managers and have been told it is just a case of scanning the documents onto the system. I have explained my situation, however it does not seem to be progressing anywhere.
Has anyone had any luck by just turning up at the passport office and getting the passports. We fly out on Sunday

I tried that once at Peterborough. Shortly after the world reopened after covid.
They wouldn’t even let me through the doors to speak to anyone without an appointment…

That may have been due to the sudden increased pressure though….Good luck!

We were there last month and they had security there who wouldn't let people without an appointment through the door.

Have you joined the Facebook group? It is very helpful.

Have you contacted your MP? They have helped some people push their passport through.

Have you tried the text messaging service?

Do you keep calling?

Many staff aren't helpful and give you a flat "can't do anything - just wait"

However very occasionally you get through to someone who does actually help.

Turning up with no appointment won't work, you won't even get through the front door.

We were doing a 7 day fast track child renewal.

It was printed one day

Dispatched the next

Arrived the next.

Passports aren't printed on the Sunday but can be delivered. Keep calling to beg for them to print your passport today so you have a chance.

When we knew our passport had been dispatched we contacted the local post office so we could keep it up from them first thing (note opening times of this as ours was only open 8-10am)

We did this rather than wait for it to be courier to us later in the day.

Can you hook an appointment for Friday? It is an adult appointment so can be printed there and then surely?
