To think this is a bad sign?

I had an interview today. I was told the interview would last around an hour. I was there 1 hour 20 minutes which I thought was good. But checking back on my interview invitation email, they missed out one part of the interview that said would form part of it. They didn't ask me about that topic which the email says they will be. This is a bad sign isn't it?! They can't have been interested in me as it was missed out?

No, not necessarily, especially if they were over-running. They wouldn't have spent that time on you unless you were a serious candidate. If that section is important they might pick it up again on another occasion. Good luck.

I’ve done hundreds of interviews (as an interviewer) and the most interesting ones have been ones where we’ve gone slightly off the beaten path and not followed the script. Don’t worry, no bad vibes here in my view.
