Good or bad sign?

Had an interview today. I feel like it went well, I met the whole team, had a general chit chat at the end, left on a positive note. I was told ‘please don’t worry if you don’t hear anything tomorrow, I have one more interview to do tomorrow, I’ll call you on Wednesday at the latest’ could this be a good sign that they’re going to get back to me so soon after finishing interviewing and that they have reassured me of the wait? Im over thinking I think :(

No it’s not worrying, this sounds completely normal. I’ve held interviews plenty of times and will always want to get through all candidates before making a decision, even if I feel like I’ve found the right one before that time. It would be strange if they didn’t do that as they have to make an informed decision to make sure it’s right for both them - and for you!

But to me what you need to be eased about more is the waiting period. This job clearly means a lot to you and that sounds like it’s taking up a lot of headspace. Give yourself some TLC for getting this far and leaving on a positive note - and try and take your mind off the waiting period. What will be will be and things have a way of working out how they are supposed to.

It’s the overall impression you make that matters - don’t fixate on specifics of what you did or didn’t get round to saying to them. Honestly you can second guess all day. You left on a good note, that’s a good sign. If they don’t pick you, it sounds like it wouldn’t be because you weren’t a strong candidate.

You need to distract yourself. Treat yourself to something! Watch a movie or do something to take your mind off this.

I was going to say that the comment about when they were going to let you know was actually nice so that you did not worry too soon and also because some candidates might actually chase them the next day. However you obviously did really well.
