Weird itchy red rash under my armpit

I posted last month about developing frequent abscesses and one bursting causing cellulitis/testing positive for MRSA and being diabetic. All is ok with that now despite developing more abscesses but none infected which is good!

Around half an hour ago I became suuuuper itchy below my armpit and looked in the mirror to see what was going on and there’s this big red itchy rash there (pic attached) next to a new abscess.

Pharmacy closed so can’t go see what cream I need, wondering if anyone knows what sort of rash this is and can recommend a cream I can get from the supermarket tonight? I don’t think I’m going to be able to resist scratching otherwise!!

What deodorant do you use? DF suddenly became allergic to one he'd used for years, he now uses a sensitive cream type one and it's fine

Would Sudocrem or E45 help?

Have they ruled out folliculitis? You may need to stop shaving/waxing until the skin heals.

@MyOtherCarisAVauxhallZafira The sure ones for women, never had any problems so would be weird but is possible!

@Username75184 What is folliculitis? I haven’t shaved in quite a while (eek!)

Most of that is from scratching. It's probably something like heat-triggered eczema, but if you don't know, it's best not to go straight to steroids. Use something like anthisan or E45 Itch Relief just to help with the itchiness and try really hard not to scratch it. Use a cold pack or frozen peas to numb it a bit when it's really itchy and if you think you won't be able to avoid scratching
In your sleep, cut your nails down.

Ingrown, infected, irritable hair follicles. Quite common.

You've got an ingrown hair there quite clearly visible (the black line) try and hook it out before you get another abscess.

Looks like Hidradenitis Suppurativa
