Dripping with sweat all week!

I know it’s hot this week but I’m sweating mega-loads… more than I think I normally do in peak summer. I guess it’s humid this week?

Just getting my bag packed / washing and tidying up is having me glistening - and I’m waking up with my pillow all soggy.

someone even commented on a video call this week that I was obv very hot - I guess my face was all shiny and obv sweaty. I wasn’t red or anything.

anyone else like this??

YANBU - it’s the humidity… we’re all like this!
AIBU - I’m fine / that sounds excessive weird

Menopause? Peri menopause?

longdistanceclaraclara · 15/08/2024 18:43

Peri?

Llamasbananas · 15/08/2024 18:47

Yeah I’m definitely peri and hot flushes (just feeling very hot) have been a feature for about a week every cycle the last year…naively I felt like they weren’t too bad a thing. My hormones were borderline last year but my periods are changing and I feel hrt won’t be far off.

I didn’t realise sweating loads could also be part of it!!!! Yikes. I literally look wild!

ps thx for the replies. If this sounds reminiscent of peri I think I’ll have my hormones checked again!!

Get to the GP. Ask if they have a women’s health specialist. Discuss HRT.

Do you take anti-depressants and have you started to take them recently? I can't take them because they make me sweat too much doing anything ☹️

I’m not on any medication at the moment… I’m sorry to hear re your anti depressant causing this! That sounds really difficult.

I'm peri, but omg it really has been humid. Yesterday was absolutely vial. I like a dry heat, so I'm not a summer f'un sponge', but I hate stepping outside and feeling damp! Both dc (teens) were struggling yesterday too. The humidity has started to increase again today, and it's so hard getting things on the line outside to dry, when the atmosphere is so damp!
Peri deffo isn't helping! But for the first time in my life, I'm looking forward cooler days (sunny, but drier, would be my ideal!). Either that or a huge thunderstorm to clear the air.

Yes, I have a GP appointment booked. I cannot do anything as I look awful before I get there. Got good Aircon at work but still sweat buckets.
