AIBU to think those who "work" seem to think they are the only ones entitled to the post-holiday blues?
Going back to reality after holiday can be hard on anyone, including stay at home mum's, off-sick, retired. But those who "work" a conventional job seem to think they suffer more.
My husband is constantly moaning about how hard it is being back to work after our holiday. He groans and sighs like a 80 year old to ensure we all know how tired he is. He constantly moans that he's the only one who has to get up for "work". He seems to think he's the only one struggling.
Sadly a holiday did not miraculously fix my chronic illness. I struggle everyday. And its worse right now. The journey back exhausted me. I'm drowning in the laundry, unpacked stuff dumped everywhere and all the other chores because hubbie has opted out of helping because his back to "work" is so hard.
Tonight, hubbie hit a new low. I asked him to turn the oven on while he was in the kitchen. He didn't. He claimed he was too tired from going back to work after holiday. Seriously!?! Too tired to turn a dial on the oven!
I would love to hear other ridiculous examples!
