I can't work out if I'm over reacting because I'm tired. Came home from work today and made a comment to husband that the earphones he'd given me to use whilst on calls at work had stopped working. He looked at me and said 'do you mean you've broken them?'

I sometimes feel like he speaks to me like I'm a child.

"I'm an adult, so if I had broken them I would say I had! So, as I said, they aren't working properly!"

My DH can be a bit like this sometimes, like something stops working and his default assumption is someone's broken it, even if it's a cheap crap, or quite old and more likely just to have stopped working on its own. I have sometimes taken him to task about it and TBF I think he's stopped reacting that way as much.

He has hyper-critical parents and I suspect they tended to react that way to everything.

Thankyou, not over-reacting then!
