To be annoyed with eBay non delivery?

Smallish item £12.99, not a disaster for me at the moment but getting made redundant soon.

Delivery was attempted by Evri to a house approx two miles away on 15th July, different postcode.

Contacted seller who said they'd contact Evri and let me know. Nothing further from them so I sent another message and got no response so escalated to eBay and they closed the case in the seller's favour as delivery had been attempted.
Had a phone call with eBay this afternoon and apparently it is my responsibility to chase up with Evri. Is this right? Surely my contract is with the seller and theirs is with Evri?

I've given up on ebay as a result of the way they accept whatever BS a 'seller' puts their way. Twice I was ripped off, I'm not giving them another chance. I'm sure there are genuine sellers on Ebay, but I'm not taking a risk.

I am unashamedly bumping this.

You are right, your contract is with the seller. Evri can't and won't do anything if you contact them as you don't have a contract with them. But IDK how to get Ebay to reverse a decision, maybe you could try contacting customer services again, or go to the forum.
