To dye my own hair?

I have a hairdressser appointment tomorrow and I really can’t be arsed to go. It’s only to get my roots done but I’ll be sat there for bloody hours, bored and frustrated and I’ll be paying £70 for the privilege.

If I had an active social life maybe it would feel more worth it but I don’t go anywhere or see anyone! I work from home, walk the dog and maybe go out twice a week with my granddaughter to the farm or somewhere like that.

im thinking of just buying one of those home roots kits - I know they don’t look as good and I won’t be able to get my hair cut but seriously, how hard can it be? 😂 I don’t really care all that much about my appearance as long as I’m presentable.

YABU - pay £70 to have it done properly
YANBU - Pay £7 to do it yoursen

I have been doing mine for years. Maybe use a semi
permanent for a few times until you get more proficient. I still go for a cut though.

Yabu to cancel with such short notice

magicmushrooms · 13/08/2024 06:54

Too short notice for this appointment but next time you can DIY the root colour.

Hopefully your hairdresser has built in a cancellation fee if you do cancel so late.

But after this appointment is fine to DIY.

Attend the appointment as it is good manners to do so. You after all made the appointment.
What you do afterwards is fine.
