To feel upset about Yodel delivery man?

Not really an important issue but I feel strangely very upset. Have just had a package delivered by Yodel, which was expected today. The seller's website insisted on being given a delivery place, so I put behind plant tub next to front door.
I am on my own in the building at present - it is large, and to get from front to the back involves going down a long path down the side of the building. I am in a room at the back, which opens onto a conservatory. Just now I heard a man's voice, looked up from the computer and there was a man entering the conservatory next to me through its open door. Another door nearby at the back of the house was also open because of the heat and letting air in. I have always felt totally safe here, and there is no reason why anyone should make their way uninvited right down the building and appear at open doors at the back. it has never happened before. He was there to deliver the parcel, but had not bothered to read the instruction. He started to come in to the conservatory - only a glass door between it and where i was working. AIBU to feel intruded upon and upset? i don't feel I can relax here now. Thanks.

Yanbu that he didn’t read the instructions and deliver it where he should. However, if you leave the doors at the back of the house open there’s always a chance that someone could just walk in. This happened to my parents, my mum’s handbag was stolen whilst they were in the house.

There's another post on here today about exactly the same sort of thing OP

Should have said its a rural area with no very close neighbours. it is quite normal to keep back doors open in hot weather while in the house. But seeing someone coming in was a shock.

He was trying to be helpful. If someone had lifted it from behind the plant tub, you’d not have been able to get a refund because they’d delivered it to your safe place.

I’d have put the conservatory as my safe place. You might prefer a lockable gate on the alleyway

It wouldn't bother me no, if I'm left all my doors open I wouldn't be cross with a delivery driver for coming through. I doubt he was intending to be intrusive, just doing his job.

If you don't feel safe in your own home then you need to install better security measures.

I'm surprised that a 'Seller's' website insisted on you putting in a safe place to put the package if you weren't there, as you're not covered by insurance if you give one and then the package disappears. Perhaps if faced with this choice again, you could try typing in 'there is nowhere safe to leave the package', or was it one of those where it gives you a drop down list?

strangely upset just a bit of an overreaction , are you safe? did you come to harm?
Be glad it was a delivery and nobody with ill intentions.

FranceIsWhereItsAt I was surprised too as never had this before. it was a drop down menu with options of where to leave but nowhere to put own comments. I won't be buying from them again!
