Starting the pill to delay period for holiday

I should have been more organised but I haven't been.

If I start the pill today, will that delay my period that's due in 9 days time?

Just get Norethisterone from superdrug etc pharmacy. It works well without any side effects. The pill might not work.

Can you drink alcohol while taking it?

Yes. My DD used to have to take it because of PCOS and constantly heavy bleeds.

I get Provera prescription to cover me whenever I have holidays or events.

It worked for me but I had horrible side effects. More mental than physical. Not saying that to put you off but just to counter it's not always side effect free.

Nothing that interrupts your hormones is going to be completely free from side effects, but the pill can cause more issues and not work.
