AIBU to ask for experiences selling property at auction

Anyone in the Mumsnet hive mind have any experience selling property at auction?

I have a derelict house to sell under a POA and the buyers who have been in the scene for the last six months are beginning to cost me my sanity.

I'm trying to see if auction might be a possibility and wondered if anyone has experience of doing this?

Thanks

Have you accepted an offer? Go through the solicitor and tell them if the sale isn’t complete within a certain time frame of your choosing, it’s going to auction. Auctions mean you pay a deposit as the buyer (to the agent) then have to complete within a certain period. My mum bought an auction property and had to provide proof of her ability to complete/finances in place.
