To be confused about kitchen cupboards

So, I want to buy three kitchen cupboards to expand storage space. One base to go next to a fridge and two wall hanging one above.

Now I naively thought that I could just buy the cupboards put one on the ground and hang two on the wall. I already have a worktop I can use.

However, I have entered a world of complete confusion. Every catalogue I've looked at it seems I need to buy ensure panels, kick boards separately and then cut them to size.

I just want complete cupboards.

Is it because I'm looking at high street flat pack or does what I want not exist?

So Aibu to just want to buy three cupboards and not lots of extra bits?

Firstly, wall cupboards are usually half the depth of floor cupboards. This is so open doors don’t overhang the work surface by too much. Open door edges at head height are a hazard.

Cupboard innards are made of cheaper materials than you would want on the end face. So either you have to buy “middle cupboards” and “end cupboards” or you put up the price by having unnecessarily expensive dividers. Mist people will have their cupboards in longer runs than you

Another function of the kick strip is to minimise the cracks where crumbs could get under the cupboard and form a mouse pantry. You want as few joins as possible, not a join between every pair of cupboards.

Maybe get a dresser instead

Thanks, so is it that 'full cupboards just don't exist? I need to get end panels no matter what?

A dresser won't work because the other half of the bottom is a low fridge.

Maybe I'm looking in the wrong places but I can't find any.

Can anyone recommend a company that actually has an online price list

I'm looking at replacing my cupboard doors at the moment. The door companies sell end panels in all the door colours. But yes this is in addition to the actual cupboard, which they also sell.

Also IKEA do freestanding kitchens so they might have something...
