To have pulled a hair out of her face ? (Lighthearted)

My employer has had a long hair growing from her cheek for at least 2 months now (well that’s when I noticed it) and it’s been driving me mad when I see it because she hasn’t noticed it or done anything about it. I knew full well it was a growing hair not just a cat hair that had got stuck to her but tonight after 2 months of looking at it I said “ oh keep still a minute you have a cat hair on your face” and swiftly plucked it out….. 🤣🤦‍♀️ she wasn’t offended (luckily) but was IBU? Should I have left the hair there and not interfered? Also for fun does anyone have any similar stories ? I do not feel bad because if I’ve seen it everyone else has and she has a very public facing community job so surely I did her a favour? I’m prepared to be roasted here !

Grin Assume you know her pretty well to do that. You're braver than me though!

LoL we were friends before she employed me so yeah you’re right in your assumption !!

Erm, if you're such great pals why didn't you just tell her she had a hair on her face? I think you way over stepped

You did her a favour and you did it very tactfully. Hopefully she'll look out for it in future.

Wtf. Of course you were unreasonable. Do you really think this woman hasn't looked at her face in over 2 months? Believe me, women know when they have hair growing on their faces. You were incredibly rude. I imagine she is secretly mortified that you were that offended by her face that you actually pulled her hair out.

I have a very hairy face but it's all blonde so I leave it be. I had a woman at work tell me 'because she'd want someone to tell her' that I had a hair growing out of my chin. She even offered to lend me her tweezers (she seemed quite stunned that I didn't carry a pair). Whilst I don't want people to think of me as a wild hairy woman I was pretty offended and embarrassed. I don't spend hours examining my chin for hairs. Maybe it was incredibly ugly and offensive but why didn't she just ignore it? Which is what you should have done OP.
