Renovation work in bathroom

We are currently on holiday and have workers in doing a bathroom renovation for us along with a few other smaller bits of work. The bathroom wall adjoins the wall of next door neighbour. The work is only being carried out during normal hours (9 to 5). Apparently the neighbour has complained to the builder doing the work and wants to know when the work will be concluded. We don't know them well but generally have a good relationship with the neighbour but maybe should have given them a heads up about the work. As long as the workers aren't carrying out work during unsociable hours there's not much they can really say is there??

I got my bathroom replaced last year - one out, one in. It took 4 days & wasn't particularly noisy, and I wfh. So if it's that sort of situation then I'd say they're being unreasonable. Why didn't the builder just say when they would be done? Not that difficult, is it?

My neighbour gives me a heads up when she is having work done, such as a recent new door installation. You don't have to but it is good manners. It's easier to cope with when you know what to expect and how long I think.
