Olympics Coverage- how to find particular sports?!

Watching the BBC Olympics coverage. How are you supposed to find a particular sport without trawling through recordings or attempting to find them on BBC Iplayer?
I want to watch the equestrianism.

I have to keep fast forwarding, it's really annoying.

I think Discovery + bought the rights to show the games so the stuff on the BBC is limited.

Equestrian is over for now I think but yes, I player or red button.

They haven’t got the full rights. Discovery have, have you got Discovery+? If you have Sky it is free, if you don’t have Sky you can sign up for I think £3.99 a month atm

We went old school and bought a Radio Times!

The red button used to be broken down into events and now it's just daytime and afternoon sessions and highlights. It's rubbish

Makes sense, wish it was on BBC Iplayer under particular sports.

Yeah I found it a total pain yesterday trying to catch all the gymnastics with my daughter. Can't believe there isn't a better system, even for an event that's really popular!

They just said on BBC 1 that the individual eventing showjumping will take place in 90 minutes. Assume on BBC1 as GB have a chance of a medal

Have signed up for Discovery which is free as have Sky. Don't seem able to record although it is helpfully organised into particular sports.

It's a mess isn't it? There should also be an option to cut out the inane talk and VTs.

You can also watch it through the Amazon app, though you’ll need to pay the £3.99 for Discovery Plus, and for Prime as well.

They’ve got two highlights channels similar to the BBC’s offering, as well as dozens of channels for individual sports.

The team gb app is worth downloading as although it’s not got videos it’s live results and the timetable gives you all the info. Then if your lucky you’ll find your sport of bbc or player or Eurosport etc

There is a black banner across the top of the Olympics BBC coverage page with a ‘what you can expect to watch today’ link on it. Here is the link to today’s. The Eventing individual event will be on at 3pm.

That’s because they lost the contract to Warner Brothers Discovery. They have done a deal with them to allow themselves to show some. Lots of the sports on Discovery plus.

The Olympics organisation sold rights to discovery and only limited rights to national broadcasters. All about money!

If you have sky it's on 2 channels of Eurosport currently live plus catch up

I've just found 3 channels of Eurosport on virgin, we don't pay extra for sports channels, it seems to have all of it and broken down by event. Gutted because I missed the second half of the men's artistic team gymnastics because it wasn't on the BBC

Get Discovery plus (£4), then you can get access to each apparatus stream so you can watch GB or just favourite gymnasts round the competition. They also have recordings up.

Thank you for the explanation of what's changed, I've been looking for the individual events as iplayer used to do.

I won't be paying money, I just won't watch. I don't want to fight through hours of burble and squash to find ten minutes of what I wanted to see.

As others have said its on discovery+. You should be able to watch previous stuff on it too. I know when I was watching gymnastics over weekend I had option to watch live or from start

To be fair, I tried watching on discovery plus, and you have to watch every minute of every qualifier to get to the bits you want as well, so highlights on youtube are the way to go. I waited ages to see Team USA, then they panned away and only showed Simone Biles, despite Sunisa Lee and Jade Carey being the reigning Olympic champions!!! So annoying.

The gymnastics from men's team finals is all on Iplayer, but I really had to go searching for it. Annoying.
