DC invited to party, now ignored

I was messaged on Facebook over 24 hours ago and my DC was invited to a party in a week or so time. I said yes that's fine, we can make that day and I asked what time the party will be. Now my messages are being ignored even though they have been active on facebook. Aibu to think why? and to presume my DC is no longer invited

Of course DC is still invited. A bit disorganised of the host not to have told you a time, but they're probably just busy.

24 hours isn't that long. Wait a bit longer before worrying. I often have a scroll through FB but don't want to deal with messages. Maybe they're waiting for some more response so they can reply at the same time.

Maybe they haven't decided exactly what they are doing and are checking how many of their child's friends are available on the day first. It's not like it's the day before the party and they haven't got back to you.

I think you’re really over thinking this. DC has been invited maybe they haven’t decided on a time yet so will get back to you soon. Give it a couple more days then reply if you haven’t heard anything x

It’s been a day, slow your roll. She may well still be making preparations.

Maybe she’s waiting for other people to respond to her invite before letting you know all of the details.
