I have subscriptions to Netflix, Apple TV, Max & Prime and have just spent an hour looking for something to watch and nothing is appealing.
Feel like cancelling them all, does anyone else feel like this?!
Is there anything good to watch on these?
Recommendations??

I'm with you OP

Prime. Netflix. Sky.

Nothing appeals

BurbageBrook · 27/07/2024 22:30

Presumed Innocent and Slow Horses on apple. This is Us on Prime.

StormingNorman · 27/07/2024 22:31

Often. I just binged Fool Me Once on Netflix. Bloody brilliant.

StormingNorman · 27/07/2024 22:31

Fallout on Prime was also 100x better than I expected.

ParrotPirouette · 27/07/2024 22:32

YABU there are thousands of things to watch. Ask for recommendations if you’re not sure, tell us what sort of things you like.

ObsidianTree · 27/07/2024 22:34

Just started watching a Korean TV series called sweet home on netflix. It's a zombie type show if you are in to that. It's quite good. Supercell is good also.

I found apple TV rubbish when I had it. Cancelled it pretty quickly.

ParrotPirouette · 27/07/2024 22:35

I’m enjoying Ted Lasso and Foundation on Apple TV
the Boys and Fallout on Prime
Criminal Minds Evolution and the Bear on Disney +
The Jetty and US ghosts on BBC

ZiggyZowie · 27/07/2024 22:35

Just watched Night Caller on channel 5 streaming. It was excellent.

ZiggyZowie · 27/07/2024 22:37

Also Itv player has loads good drama atm

Feelingmentallyunsettled · 27/07/2024 22:56

I was a Virgin Media customer for decades. Paid through the nose for the biggest package and, like you OP, used to flick through all the channels and couldn't find anything to watch.
So last year I got rid of Virgin and bought a Firestick. It's been a liberation. Admittedly I've now also taken out a subscription for Now Tv so I can get Skysports to watch live tennis. But these days I hardly watch anything but tennis and the rerun episodes of Brookside and its been great. I just dont miss the tv at all.

justasmalltownmum · 27/07/2024 22:59

Same! Currently watching the Turkish detective on iPlayer. It's good.

suki1964 · 27/07/2024 23:00

TBH whilst I do have Prime and Netflix and the odd cheapo/promo of Apple ( slow horses is amazing ) I tend to find most of my viewing on the freeview channels esp Iplayer and U

tinydynamine · 27/07/2024 23:07

I have spent the last 3 months watching all 120 episodes of Curb Your Enthusiasm. It's on Amazon but not included in the Prime package.

Chugnut · 27/07/2024 23:18

Caliphate
Love/hate
Criminal minds evolution
Tehran
Fauda

KnickerlessParsons · 27/07/2024 23:25

In all honestly, if DH ever dies, the first thing I'd do is cancel all the Netflix/Prime etc subscriptions.

BebbanburgIsMine · 27/07/2024 23:43

The Last Kingdom
Seven Kings Must Die

Vikings Valhalla

Mayorq · 27/07/2024 23:45

Just rename the thread "I'm old and scared of change" and be done with it

TakemedowntoPotatoCity · 27/07/2024 23:48

Now TV is good. Has all the HBO series. Game of Thrones, Succession, Mare of Easttown, True Detective Night Country, The Last of Us, And Just Like That

Whatthefisthis · 28/07/2024 00:04

@Mayorq ?? Why? I’m neither old, nor scared of change…I just can’t find anything interesting…!

Channellingsophistication · 28/07/2024 00:05

Bad Sisters on Apple TV is good. I think the trouble is there’s too much choice takes too long to go through and look.

Channellingsophistication · 28/07/2024 00:09

Mare of Easttown is very good. Also enjoyed Ozark and Big little lies on netflix. Succession also brilliant

MrsSkylerWhite · 28/07/2024 00:11

Difficult to recommend without knowing what you’ve already seen.

Fargo
Suspect
Douglas is Cancelled
The Bear
Unforgotten
River
?

RappersNeedChapstick · 28/07/2024 00:12

Have you watched Lupin on Prime?

HarrytheHobbit · 28/07/2024 00:13

Slow Horses, Silo, See, Ted Lasso, For all Mankind, Masters of the Air, Blackbird, Severance. All available on Apple. There are some good films on there as well. I would highly recommend Tetris and Fitch. Franklin is supposed to be good but I haven't seen that yet. There is a lot of rubbish on Amazon and Netflix but there is plenty of good stuff to watch if you look for it.

SnowFrogJelly · 28/07/2024 00:16

If you haven't watched it yet try Succession.. brilliant
