What would be your expectation for a 10 and 8 year old?
I like things to be clean and tidy so not sure If I'm expecting too much.
The problems seem to be around laundry. I'm so fed up of the constant battle and have tried many approaches which don't work, so this makes me wonder if I'm being fair. I expect both children to pack away clothes that go in their drawers but I do the hanging bits as their rails are very high (ikea pax). I'm the only one that does this because husband dumps it on their desks and tells them to do it despite the fact they can't teach without climbing. When I clean on a Thurs I go round the house and in all the bedrooms I discover dirty clothes screwed up, clean clothes stuffed down the bed or all the clothes dumped in the top drawer where they don't go. My husband leave his stuff all over the floor too. This drives me crazy! Then there's the classic of top lazy to put away so chuck it back in the wash.....
My eldest will whizz around with the shark mini hoover and 8 year old might dust but that's it. Is it time I got them stacking the dishwasher, or more? What's reasonable?
