To complain about my shit night?

Baby is just point blank refusing to sleep in cot. I don’t know why. I have her in bed with me and it’s horrendous. Kicking, squirming, keeps banging her head on the wooden headboard, waking up and wailing for no apparent reason (I know there must be a reason but stumped as to what.) I am absolutely fed up and want to rant somewhere.

YANBU!

something in the air tonight! Sending solidarity. Am also on the night.
no idea if it’s teeth, a cold, growing etc.

i hope your baby drops off soon.

Calpol for her, cup of tea for you. Bluey on the tv for a while and try again in an hour? Nothing worse than lying in the dark trying to sleep while they do gymnastics

Split night here (again) too bloody knackered and was hoping to get to parkrun tomorrow (today) but that’s disappearing as the clock ticks round!

shitnighttonight · 27/07/2024 04:02

Ugghhh not that I wish it on anyone but glad it isn’t just me.

@Anythingforcake she’s exhausted and desperate to sleep but for whatever reason just can’t. She’s had calpol. I think she may be a bit constipated and possibly uncomfortable because of that, I’m trying to get as many fluids as possible into her.

Joining. I have work in 3 and a half hours too. No signs of sleeping here

I remember the joys of kicky babies, and you have my sympathy. I'm awake due to acupuncture from my cat

ADHDGURL · 27/07/2024 04:42

Woke up with a bad tummy and caught this.. much love to you OP..I have been there ❤️ settle yourself down with her and I hope she calms down soon. Take it easy later today.. I know it's the worst... unsettled crying baby and no sleep 🙏❤️..hang in there. Big hugs. X

I remember those nights! Putting on a video (now I'm showing my age) just so I catch a few more minutes sleep. Everyone used to say 'it's only for a short time', 'you'll look back fondly one day', 'we've all been through it' etc and I wanted to throttle them. There's a reason sleep deprivation is used as an interrogation technique!

Hugs those nights are hell with little ones!!
I'm currently awake with a chest infection and a 4 month puppy who decided that getting up at 5am was a good idea!! Confused

Namechange1990 · 27/07/2024 06:40

Joining for a rant... Ended up with 2 small humans in my bed kicking hell out of me and another whose decided his cot must be empty for him to sleep. Including him? Then lovely (selfish) neighbour decided 4.50 was the time to feed the seagulls!!! Apparently thats a thing now
