Where can you sell theatre tickets?

Not really an AIBU but posting for traffic shamelessly. I can't make a theatre performance today at Theatre Royal Windsor and would rather the tickets got use than went to waste but can't find anywhere to seek them/pass them on!

The show is completely sold out so not a demand issue. They have been on Twickets for three days below face value and open to offers - nothing. Tried to put on FB but the post got banned for going against rules!? Is there a special website for theatre tickets? Google says no. Called theatre and they can't resell them...

Compared to the madness that is concert ticket scalping this seems to go the other way!

Pity the theatre cannot re-sell them.

Could you leave them at the box office for free? My sister couldn't make a comedy gig last year and left the tickets with the box office. She left them the day of and told the theatre anyone who wants them could use them. I don't know the final outcome but I'd say they got passed onto staff or friends/family of staff as, like your with show, it was a very popular event.

I can't get there unfortunately, an unavoidable work meeting got put in for today when I was supposed to be on leave Envy DD looked at getting train with her friend but train fares were £47 each!

The theatre can't take any responsibility for them apparently.

I always wonder about empty seats at sold out performances... now I know!

Ah, that's a shame. It sound like you've tried pretty hard to pass the tickets off. Good luck with the work meeting!
