Where is my AirPods case?

And why can’t FindMy be used to locate it? I’ve got both buds and I haven’t left the house with the case. Help. I’m completely dependent on them!

We always find missing tech stuff down the side of the sofa or the bed.

HowCanILive · 23/07/2024 15:08

Thanks, I was hopeful of it being somewhere in or under the bed but if so, it’s turned invisible 😢

It’s in a pocket of something you wore, that’s where mine normally are.

shellyleppard · 23/07/2024 15:12

Try under the sofa/back of the sofa under the table

WithIcePlease · 23/07/2024 15:21

In a coat pocket or bag - think of where you last wore them outside home?

AnchorWHAT · 23/07/2024 15:27

Dressing gown pocket, in the wash basket with a hanky or something you were wearing when you last used them, down the back of the bed frame, kicked under something, in the car, in a jacket, coat or cardi pocket, in te washing machine. Can you picture yourself using them what were you wearing where were you? Good luck.

Mine was inside a fitted sheet that was on the bed.

HowCanILive · 23/07/2024 15:32

Thanks everyone! I’m riddled with COVID and haven’t been anywhere but bed, kettle for lemsip, loo, bed for days. It was driving me mad. How could they just disappear? Found them on a dining chair under a jumper. What a relief!

It not they. I had the buds. How annoying that the case can’t be tracked without them?

Have you washed the bedding since loosing it? Could it have got tangled in the sheets, washed then fell out in the garden when drying the sheets? Long shot but happened to me once when I'd lost something

Find My is USELESS with AirPods as they only make a sound when connected, when the case is open. Don't know what genius made it so.

I was always misplacing mine (ADHD) so I bought a cover for it with a clip and attached a Tile to it, it plays a tune when you press it in the app!

I also have them for my remotes too, and have AirTags on all of my keys 😂

HowCanILive · 23/07/2024 15:42

That would be devastating! Did it survive?

Genius. I’m doing this at my earliest opportunity. The case is in a silicon case with a massive clip that I thought would make it loss proof but clearly not.

@HowCanILive Amazon do deals on Tiles, they sell a 2 pack that you can attach to a clip and then do some smaller ones as well for other items.

I prefer them to AirTags because the noise is LOUD. AirTags are better for tracking very precisely so I use them for luggage, but their sound is rubbish so wouldn't waste money on them to attach to less valuable things. They also don't come wih any means for attaching, you have to buy a holder separately.

HowCanILive · 23/07/2024 15:50

Thank you so much, this sounds like a game changer!

They've currently gone up in price (I last bought on prime day for about £10 less) but keep checking, they always do deals on them

HowCanILive · 23/07/2024 15:55

Fantastic, thank you 🤩

Last time I lost mine (in the case), they turned up in a shoe a few weeks later.
