AIBU to be annoyed at being ID'd in Morrisons?

I will be 49 in a couple of months, so I'm a touch over 25. I don't carry ID because I don't drive. I went out of my way to go into Morrisons to buy some alcohol that was on special offer, but ended up leaving empty-handed. Given my age, I think it's a bit ridiculous. Maybe my retinol is working better than I realise, but I am pretty sure that I don't look half my age.

This happened to me recently, I had a full weekly shop with one bottle of wine in it and my 12 week old baby with me. So so infuriating. I'm 31 and I was annoyed enough but do appreciate that they are just doing their job

It isn’t just stores -
I ordered a particular bottle of Gin for my mum who was about to turn 70, from Amazon.
The female delivery driver would not hand it over without seeing picture id,
mum said, you are looking at it!
driver has to see id with photo either passport or driving licence, neither of which mum has any more, but had her bus pass, recent date, photo, but no this form
of id wasn’t on the list.
delivery driver departs with gin, packed in a plain box
Amazon refunds £30 immediately
I reorder for the next day, driver blasts mums doorbell, leaves box containing
gin in the porch
on her actual birthday

for myself, I am now seriously considering the liberal application of Retinol!

They're doing their job, and could get in trouble if they didn't check and someone was under age. I used to do bar work and it is so hard to guess someone's age, I'd always err on the side of caution.
