Lawyers costing a small fortune. He’s going to pay me the minimum in child maintenance. I’m going to be left with nothing and working until I drop. And he’s at fault.

I know. But your freedom and peace of mind will be everything. Keep looking forwards

But freedom, happiness, feeling safe, having control and independence, teaching your children what is an unhealthy relationship and what is a healthy way to live and having self respect... Absolutely fucking priceless! I just wish I'd done it sooner and I'm skint, living with my mum, first court soon, but me and the kids are better than ever. No regrets about leaving.

It might be financially expensive to leave but it will be mentally and emotionally expensive to stay. Probably also physically expensive as stress can cause serious long term ill health.
