What’s a brat summer?!

I've heard this in a few places now. Still no idea what it means.

I feel like Google will think less of me if I try to find out what this is.

My guess is it means your being a brat because the summer weather has been shit. But I'm getting old and can't be arsed to Google it. If I'm right, yeah I'm doing a brat summer 🌞 😎

Me too! My 10 yr old is currently throwing the strop of all strops whilst the autistic 13 year old is trying to use logic to defuse the situation. It's like a bloody episode of Star Trek where the Vulcans are only succeeding in making the Klingons angrier.

Well I’m sat in a casino counting my winnings with a Long Island iced tea, waiting for an Uber to take us back to 5* hotel…

Life is NOT usually like this. We got stuck in traffic on the way, then broke down, I had a panic attack sat on the side of the M6 with hazards on, me and DP had a blazing row…

I don’t have social media but if I did my post would probably be me counting the money smiling with my drink.

I find this is life. A few beautiful moments amidst a lot of stress and angst. People mostly show off the best bits without the story behind it. I wish everyone showed the full story!

The 5* hotel was booked with club card vouchers, my starting bet was £10 and my winnings are only £100, we are happy but it’s been a long stressful day and a snapshot doesn’t show the whole picture.

A brat summer is being braless? I prefer doing that year round and not restricting it to the summer, but for the love of god at least stick a jumper on. No one wants to see your nipples and it’s far too rainy to be going out braless in a strappy top without a jumper - it’ll go see through then everyone is going to know your business far better than you wish them to.
