Are expensive eyelash curlers worth it?

The eyelashes on my left eye are really flat. Only my left eye, it's strange. I have a pair of eyelash curlers but they don't seem to do much, is it worth spending out on a pair?

I was singularly unimpressed with my Tweezerman ones until I watched a YouTube vid that showed me I'd been using them wrongly.
You don't squeeze firmly, you pump lightly several times. Game changer!

I have never spent more than £10 on a pair , one layer of mascara , hold down super tight for 10 seconds and can look like false lashes

My absolute favourite eyelash curler is from Shiseido. It was just over £10 and is constructed so much better than any others I’ve tried.

I use a heated one which is amazingly effective and wasn't expensive. Recharges via USB.

I think no.

My DD however has 4 sets and swears her expensive ones are really good. She also has a trick of heating them up with a hairdryer before use (curlers not lashes)

Heated eyelash curler £7 off eBay best money I’ve ever spent, haven’t needed false lashes for ages now

Heating them up definitely does work. In the winter I stick my curlers on the radiator while I'm sorting out the rest of my face and it does make a big difference.
My lashes are as flat as pancakes in the summer months.

Surely curl and then apply mascara? Otherwise wouldn’t the mascara go all over the curler?

Heated ones are the best imo. I get LVL lash lift now but still use my old heated curler when I'm due to get my lashes done and they need curling. I have long and dark but straight lashes that look non existent if not curled.

OMG @BruceAndNosh I tried the pumping method today and it really works. Obviously been doing it wrong for decades. Many thanks for the tip.

After years and years of using eyelash curlers I've been having a lash lift around every 8 weeks. Total game changer.

Which side so you sleep on? I'd try a new pillow and stick with the cheap curlers TBH.
