AIBU to think these Saltwater sandals can be repaired

My Saltwater sandals, 3 years old have ripped as shown.
Saltwater offer a voucher for sending in old sandals of you to £15. However, this must be spent on full price items rather than their pre loved ones.
Wondered if anyone has any experience of leather repair/stitching and can advise of whether they could be repaired?

Just chuck 'em & get new!

3 years old…agree put them in the bin!

They could be repaired by gluing a thin peice of leather to the inside and the outside of the break and then stitching through all three layer. The issue is that that part would be less flexible and more likely to rub on your foot. I am a big fan of repairing atuff but I think these might be beyond repair
