Was this carpet cleaner a con??

Had carpets cleaned four days ago.

first issue, when he had done them all marks had vanished. However, two days later then began to emerge again? It wasn’t new dirt it was the exact same spots.

second issue, the wet dog smell is still here?? Shouldn’t this have gone by now?

Dog and pets - that is a specific smell that you never get out from carpets.

And maybe the marks were really stained, so it went away with a wash but as it dried showed again. Doesn't mean the carpet wasn't cleaned

Have you asked the carpet cleaner? That would be my first action before asking on a forum

@Martha877 no and I won’t be doing. He was unpleasant and would rather re clean them than have to speak to him again. His reviews were good so I am wondering if I’ve got it wrong

When something is wet sometimes it looks gone. Just like a stain on clothing might look lighter when wet and then when dry you see it again?
