Aibu to ask for help as I have no idea where else I should seek advice before I go to the doctors on Monday.

iv been away on holiday for a week so not able to do anything.

It started with what I thought was a canker sore on the inside of my lip a week ago which then spread to the tip of my tongue and underneath. Iv had an awful sore painful throat that felt like razor blades when I swallowed and my lymph nodes are swollen. My whole turn hurts, especially on the top and i have a red patch in the middle that feels raw. It burns so much, like im constantly eating a vindaloo. I now have a big red area and large sore on the inside of my cheek that is so painful :( iv had “canker sores” down the side of my tongue as well.

im struggling to eat because everything makes it so painful whenever something touches the top of my tongue.

i am in so much pain and feel so down. Im struggling to talk because moving my tongue hurts. My gums feel so tender too :(

any ideas what it could be?! :(

Sounds like an infection of some kind, and you need to see your GP.

Sounds like something for a GP or OOH - online 111 assessment could help you get in contact with someone.

I had something that sounds similar and took over my mouth. I believe it was hand and mouth from one of my kids who had it. Was excruciating. My GP wasn’t sure but was very sympathetic and she thought def something of that family of illnesses but unusually bad. She gave me anti vitals but I don’t know if it was too late or not.
i needed to see someone in person for them to realise how bad it was - if you can push to be seen.
i drank meal replacement drinks with difficulty
I was sent for tests on my immune system and general health on the back of it but everything was fine - just the stress of small kids
take care op - the pain of massive ulcers like that is indescribable I think. Rooting for you that it passes quickly!

I think this could oral thrush. See a pharmacist and if they can't help then GP. If it is oral thrush then you'll need antifungals.
