To ask where you bought your comfy sofa from?

Looking for a corner sofa. Budget of about £2000. Would ideally like a neutral mid-dark brown, fabric material not leather.

Considering the Sofa Club but also wondering about Dunelm. Where is yours from and do you rate it?

Posting for traffic as need to order it tomorrow!

Just bought a corner from Snug. So far so very comfy. Also had a £2000 budget, came in at £1278(+£30 to put together and take away packaging). Ordered last Monday was here on Wednesday.

Oak Furnitureland here, huge comfy corner sofa that we all love.

DFS The Wren range. DH is very tall so the high back is necessary for us. We also have another, much older DFS sofa that's still very comfy.

We also sat on many sofas, in many shops before we chose our sofa each time, because comfort is so individual to each person.

Joules patterdale, super comfy

Had three sofas from the Good Housekeeping range at DFS and just loved them all.

OhmygodDont · 08/07/2024 17:28

Ours was from next, maybe 14 years ago now. Still comfy but needs replacing soon as a spring has gone in one part, using one of those boards on it currently. Struggling to find a new one I like 😓

We have just bought a second French connection zinc for our main room and the dfs patterdale as well. Both super comfy and great customer service.

lemonmeringueno3 · 08/07/2024 17:43

Duresta. Comfier than by bed.

ColonelRhubarbBikini · 08/07/2024 18:02

Another vote for DFS. Our last sofa from them lasted 15 years through various pets, 3 boisterous children and many visiting ones too. It was still in fairly good nick when we got rid of it. The only reason we got a new one is we needed more seating.

Ours is similar to the Greyson. It’s the comfiest sofa we’ve ever had. So many guests have fallen asleep on it it’s become a running joke.

Definitely visit a showroom and don’t be afraid to take your time and sit on one for a good while.

Very much not SCS - bought one from there and the build quality was appalling. I may as well have set fire to my cash.

High end - Sofas and Stuff, you can often get a good price on ex-display items which will bring it closer to budget.

Lower end - IKEA couches are very robust and comfortable for the money,

TeenLifeMum · 08/07/2024 18:10

Dfs. I was nervous but loved one on their website. We tried it in store and it wasn’t very comfy but there was another one we all loved so ordered it. That was last January and I love it. So comfy - we’ve slept on it a number of times too and it’s as comfy as my bed (dh was ill and coughing loads so I decamped to the living room).

JackJarvisEsq · 08/07/2024 18:13

We have the DFS Lydia and its smaller version the Layla and both are super comfy

Getonwitit · 08/07/2024 18:26

Multi York, ancient but still really comfortable and looks fine.

Feelingleftoutagain · 08/07/2024 18:29

Got mine from Fabb, really comfy and the staff were brilliant no pushy sales staff, they actually suggested a cheaper one as it was a better fit for what I wanted

lifetheuniverseandeverything42 · 08/07/2024 18:41

We have two from the lounge co. Very happy with them both. I think they sell some through furniture village. Get the foam filling not fibre (unless you like fluffing the cushions). Worth looking at their outlet too.

Sheknowsaboutme · 08/07/2024 19:53

I have Nebraska from Oak Furniture

It looks lovely and is comfortable.

They've got loads of colours for each model.

John Lewis is a stockist if you want to try one out.

It was built by their team on arrival which felt a bit Ikea but it seems well built and does mean you have no access issues.

I do think the seat cushions went flat very quickly, within months. Swyft customer service are very responsive but their advice for this was to basically 'fluff them up by hand' regularly and it just isn't that effective.

They also have very regular sales so I'd hang on for one of them if you're thinking of buying.

I sat on loads of sofas last year - eventually got a VIMLE from Ikea.
Huge and squishy and I love it.
