To consider AI with 3 under 6?

Looking at getting away in October or Easter 2025. We will have 3 under 6. We've only done safe holidays to a family home in France and the idea of AI with 3 of them seems scary. Is this madness or am I a total wuss?

AI is literally the best thing with young kids. I wouldn’t do anything else. You want an ice cream? Sure get one! A drink? No problem. You wanna live off chips for a week? Go knock yourself out.
It’s pure ease everything is there in one place. Perfect holiday for young kids. Plus there’s usually a kids club

NuffSaidSam · 07/07/2024 19:12

I would have thought AI was the obvious choice for small kids?

TwattyMcFuckFace · 07/07/2024 19:13

Eh? I could understand your worry if you weren't going AI with 3 kids under 6.

But what's the problem here?

Namechangedforthis25 · 07/07/2024 19:13

Yes AI is the best

it’s all included - no stress, don’t need to leave hotel, easy

orangedrizzle · 07/07/2024 19:14

Oh I obviously live a very sheltered life! These replies are very reassuring, thank you.

Any recommendations for Oct/April? Not too hot

We went to Cyprus on an AI in September 2019 and absolutely couldn't fault this place.

The kid's and adult/family entertainment was brilliant (although check because I think it might end at the end of September?) and the food/rooms/pool were absolutely wonderful.

Kefalos Beach Tourist Village

@TwattyMcFuckFace thanks that's helpful. We're bound by the school holidays so can't do sep but will see what the situation is in Oct. Which company did you use? Thanks

We went AI with our kids similar age to just outside Benidorm October half term few years back. Bloody brilliant never looked back! So convenient, weather was perfect, sunny but not too hot for the little ones. We have the main strip a miss but the rest of the area was lovely. Our hotel Had a fabulous water park with an area just for little ones too. AI a godsend - they tried loads of new things too, lots of fresh seafood, but also had the usual pizza/ nuggets etc if they didn't like it

minipie · 07/07/2024 19:31

I’d say Canaries with that age kids - I’m not a big fan generally but it’s perfect for a safe fly and flop option with sun year round but not too hot. Lots of family friendly hotels with kids clubs, some down to baby age eg Roca Nivaria.

Cyprus or Turkey are also options for October but not April.

Do look for heated pools, and ideally a beach style pool (shelving entrance) - these are fab for babies and toddlers.

Yep totally agree with this

NeedthatFridayfeeling · 07/07/2024 20:11

I've found Iberostar hotels good, nice food, great kids club, all have ice cream and some have ice lollies included in the AI package.
Agree with a PP about the Canaries in October, usually a lovely temperature.

Pippa12 · 07/07/2024 20:22

AI is perfect with young children- food and drink on tap, no faffing about trying to find somewhere to eat and waiting for food to arrive when they’re exhausted after a full day in the pool. Followed by the kids disco and a parrot show for good measure!

Do I want to be holidaying like this for the rest of my life- absolutely not! But to get a peaceful rest in the sun with young children- bloody perfect!

The Barcelo’s in caleta de Fuste in Fuerteventura always gets my vote. 15 minutes from airport with year round sunny weather- not too hot.

cherryassam · 07/07/2024 20:23

Canaries would also be my suggestion

What would your budget be?

We used TUI.

Pippa12 · 07/07/2024 20:25

EasyJet do great package holidays.

itsgettingweird · 07/07/2024 20:27

For that time of year I'd look at canaries.

I use jet2 when I book package holidays.

gingercat02 · 07/07/2024 20:36

If you can afford it, AI is the absolutely best option for little kids. Let them live on ice cream, chips, and general beige if necessary and "free" wine to numb the pain for you.

HateThese4Leggedbeasts · 07/07/2024 20:39

I don't agree with the canaries as although they are warm they are mostly windy which makes it feel colder. Turkey or Greece in October would be my choice. I don't know if Greece has much AI though.

Wholeheartedly agree that AI is fab for little ones as I don't stress if they hate the food choice and want something else or leave half a drink or half an ice cream

Duckinglunacy · 07/07/2024 20:42

i would opt for the Canaries at that time of year. I am a big fan of Lanzarote and like the Barcelo Active in Costa Teguise.

leccybill · 07/07/2024 20:47

The only tricky bit is mealtimes when you're taking 15 trips to the buffet and everyone's finished by the time you get yours.
Try to find a place where you are served drinks, not self-serve.

Itsmyshadow · 07/07/2024 20:56

I never understand with the AI hotel set up and young kids how it works with everyone getting enough sleep? Do the kids pass out at the dinner table or do you eat really early and the drink wine in the en-suite while the kids are asleep? Do the kids get really grouchy over the course of the week if they stay up late?

How do you wash any clothes in the hotel, or do you take enough to cover a 10/14 day holiday? How do you fit that many in?

We do an apartment / villa / mobile home holiday so kids can go to bed at normal time and we get our evening afterwards. I must admit I would like to not have the faff of cooking every evening though!

Am I the only person who misunderstood the subject of this thread? First of all I thought you were considering changing to a career in Artificial Intelligence. Then I thought maybe you were considering Artificial Insemination, even though you have 3 under 6!

I don’t know anything about AI holidays though, so don’t have anything useful to contribute.

Justhereforaibu1 · 07/07/2024 21:00

The farmer in me thought you meant artifical insemination with 3 under 6 and I thought hell no! Holiday - go for it 😂

I too thought artificial insemination and was ready to say don't do it! 🤣

Justhereforaibu1 · 07/07/2024 21:01

Haha great minds think alike 🤣
