Upset with friend?

My friend had a group of people over yesterday, some I’m good friends with and others I don’t know or barely know.

Friend decided to tell a story in front of the group (I was not in this story) and then added a joke on about me and everyone laughed at me.

Like I don’t know why she’d do that, I can honestly laugh at myself (and do regularly) but this was to try and embarrass me in front of people I don’t know. I don’t know why she did this.

I had a cousin like this, we are only a few months apart so was more like sisters, once we got to teens she would constantly do this, always trying to make me look bad or put me down. My advice is you don't need a friend like that, I would confront them

it’s exhausting and if it was a friendship then I’d leave it!

as it is iv just learned how to not take it on emotionally and mentally

you on the other hand aren’t stuck so I’d be keeping an eye and if this is a pattern rather than an ill thought out one of I’d be getting hr told and ending the relationship.

actually thinking about it I did have a friend who was like that too, she is no longer a friend and our mutual friends (except one who was her arse licker and dropped me much to my relief) later when it’s come up in conversation agreed I’d done the right thing and she’d treated me badly. They mostly fell out with her or are far less close with her too over the years

I think that's hard for us to judge without knowing what was said.
