** Your best milestone birthday ideas, please share!!! **

My 50th birthday is coming up, my friends are now asking what I am planning. I literally have no idea!! I don't even know where to start MN! 😰

I have 30-40 local friends. 20 odd friends scattered around that are not so local any longer but are good friends. I have quite a few work, hobby and random friends too. We have a biggish family not especially in good health or local. We are a family of 5 with teens (that can take it or leave it I suspect, all in uni)

What dinners/events/parties have you been to that were great and why? Which ones were meaningful and special - and what made them that way? Can you tell me what stood out and why?

What should I avoid at all costs? What disasters have you been to? What should I not do under any circumstances???

Or do I just crawl under a duvet and pretend I am not really this old at all, and ignore the day altogether....

Please share some wise words and your BEST and WORST dinner/party/ experiences please! Thank you🙏

I've got a big one coming up in a few weeks the difference is my friends are all over the place and not possible to meet up with everyone.
I'm doing an alpaca trek with a couple and then dinner and cocktails on another evening with different friends and probably drinks with another group whenever.
Just do whatever it is you enjoy, whether that's a party, a cocktail 🍸 night, breakfast/brunch out, day out somewhere you've never been, spa day or even just a day in bed with a good book
