To ask for your dinner ideas when moving house…

Everything is packed ready to go and we’ve cleared out the cupboards too. We move next Wednesday.

We are stuck for meal ideas and don’t want to just eat rubbish every day, but equally packed everything but a couple of pans and oven trays and all of our spices/herbs /condiments. It would be helpful if we could also pack the chopping boards and most of the utensils.

Inspiration needed! We’ll both be working too until then with only Sunday off.

Pasta with jar sauce and tender stem broccoli - just use scissors to cut the end off tender stem so no need for chopping board.

Ready made Frittata and bag salad

Stir fry vegetable bag and microwave rice

Salad packs and cooked meats from supermarket. Pre chopped veg for roast veg. Fresh pasta and sauce.

Supermarkets have a huge amount of convenience food, both healthy and less-so. So go shopping and see what you fancy.

Ready prepared fresh stir fry mixes and sauces, stock up on nibbly things like houmous/dips and crackers/veg sticks, baked potatoes, any meat/fish that can be roasted/pan fried, pasta and sauces, salads. For quickness I love a bit of cheese on toast too 🤤.

I don't think you will get healthy, while having no chopping or prep, you will need to keep some stuff out. You will need it to hand at the other end too.

everyone has given better food ideas than I could, but from experience, make sure you know where the cutlery is - it took us 3 days to find it and we only had 2 forks, one knife and a teaspoon!

But why have you packed absolutely everything in the kitchen with a week still to go? Surely packing up the basics on Tuesday evening after dinner would be better?
