It's 7.30am, and the contractor in the office 2 doors down is watching Tik Tok at full volume on his phone. Again.

Bagpipe music - swipe - football chanting - swipe - rock music - swipe - sports car noises.

I don't mind a bit of background noise or even listening to the radio, but this is just so fucking grating.

WIBU to go along and pointedly kick his door closed?

Go and ask him to wear headphones or turn the volume down. If he gives you grief, speak to his manager.

So far, I have only done the very British thing of gritting my teeth, and passive aggressively slamming my own door closed.

When I work in the office I use loop earplugs as I can't stand other people's noises. Maybe try a pair?

Yes it's selfish and annoying behaviour, but there's no need to lose your shit with him if you haven't made him aware that he's annoying you and asked him to keep it down.

Is 7.30 before your working hours actually start or is he on a break? As otherwise surely he should be working rather than wasting time on TikTok anyway.
