Extensive wrinkles?

I just had a consultation, I didn’t go for wrinkles. And the doctor said I had extensive fine lines and wrinkles and then made me smile into a mirror to show me …

I’m early 30s I’m not perfect, in fact I’m harsh on myself and even I would never say I have EXTENSIVE wrinkles and fine lines around my eyes. Surely most people get lines when they smile?

I’ve walked away and had a cry

A consultation for what? Is this doctor invested in selling you Botox? Sounds very unprofessional to me.

Aw, it's their job to make people focus on 'flaws' and sell their services.

Am sure you're fine, just keep up the water intake!

You could try Tretinoin if it really bothers you. Works wonders. Better than Botox.

Though I expect you look just fine.

Did he think you may have a medical issue perhaps , very dry skin or something that would indicate you needed investigations?

We definitely need a bit more context about what kind of doctor & appointment this was.

But either way, aging faces are beautiful and we are lucky to have each year pass.

I am 31 and I am noticing little eye creases and other changes.
In a society obsessed with hiding any hint of (women) aging, it can feel like an assault on your self esteem.

Full disclosure, I get botox due to very asymmetrical brows and eyes. I love it, but I don't think anyone should feel like they have to. I also don't get it specifically for wrinkles etc

Aw, I'm not surprised you're upset. That type of speak is not easy to hear.

I think it's just the way they present their verdict, in order to make you go ahead with tweakments. I doubt you've got extensive wrinkles. I think that I have, but I'm told otherwise. Bet if I went to a clinic they'd be telling me the same, but much more, as I'm way older than you.

Don't be down about it. They're experts at selling their services Brew
