Struggling with MIL. I av got two children who are 3 and 10months and MIL doesn't respect any boundaries we put in place, sees them as her babies and she can do what she likes with them when looking after them. Advice ? Don't want fall out but need to put across boundaries and want her to accept we are the parents and what we say goes

You’re their parents, it’s your way or no way. She had her turn. What’s going on? Are you asking her to babysit? Is she asking to have them? What does your husband think?

Only realistic option is to put up with it or not let her babysit. Depends what she’s doing that’s so bad and if you need her help really.

Tell her directly what you're not happy with and tell her what is acceptable. Keep confronting it every time. Make sure you and DH are on the same page and that he's saying the same things to her. It's the only way.
