To worry about this

So I seem to get migraines whenever I start trying to lose weight. Mostly I just get the aura for half an hour and eventually it goes away and that's it (very rarely I get a bit of a headache). Today around 10:30am a migraine aura began - didn't think anything of it and assumed it would be gone in half an hour. It did go away as normal but then I got 3 more auras in the space of 5 hours - the last one caused pins and needles and numbness in my arm, hand and face and then the blinding headache came on. The headache lasted for a few hours which I slept off. I've now just got some tenderness in the area the headache was when I bend down or move quickly etc.

I've never ever experienced more than one aura in a row or even in a day and it was the worst headache I've had. Has anyone else experienced this? I can't work out from Google if it's normal for an aura to last for 5 hours! I don't like to waste the NHS's time so am I being unreasonable worrying about it and bothering my GP?

This sounds horrid :-( do you have to lose weight? Are you doing it for health reasons or just to be a bit thinner. Because it sounds like a high price to pay if the latter

I don't have to, no! I've just been feeling a bit rubbish about myself recently and I want to be fitter and have some more energy. But in the last year everytime I've tried the migraines start!
This one was on another level though!

Maybe you are particularly sensitive to ketosis?

You need to listen to your body.

I would avoid fasting, eat little and often. Lots of water too.
