Hi all, I'm looking for some advice and a general moan...

I was on the council list for 3/4 years, they took me off as I didn't sign a letter (it never came, spoke to a few people and this happened to them too). I was in one of the lowest bands. Anyway I went back on the list around 7 months ago and was put in a higher band as my circumstances changed. Spoke to a man from the council at the beginning of Jan 24 and he said I would be looking at 10 months maximum before I was rehoused, probably before. Today I thought I would give them a ring and see if there was any updates and the woman on the phone said the man had lied, it will be years before I'm housed (she said anything from 5 years) and I should just private rent somewhere or move out of the area completely if I can't afford to PR.

I have a meeting in the morning with the council. I'm not happy with how the situation has been handled. I feel so deflated, upset and rather annoyed.

Would it be unreasonable of me to put a complaint in?

Pointless
They know it's awful

It's pointless putting a complaint in it won't do anything to benefit your claim.

That's what I was thinking too, apparently they have no idea who the man is that told me 🤨 when I spoke to them today and mentioned making a complaint they said it was too complex of a situation and I would need to go in for a meeting.
