I'm not in the UK but in the US, and like the UK we have major elections coming up. In addition to the Presidential election, there are state and federal (Congressional) elections too. Our incumbent Democratic congressperson is being given a run for her money by an outsider and I mentioned it today to some colleagues. All degree educated and pretty switched-on people.
Half of them had no idea what I was talking about, even when I named the congressperson! Didn't even know who their local representatives are, never mind the challengers. I was shocked! Here we are, leading into a generation-defining election, with HUGE ramifications, and people don't even care to educate themselves on who's running. God help us all.
