No clue what jobs to look for

Yes I have decided to looking for work outside retail and away from customers. Really getting fed up of being needed in 3 places at once as short staffed plus it’s going to get worse next month as schools break up mid July. Fed up with moaning customers who don’t contact head office with their complaints.

Been working in CS and retail for 23 years. Done call centre, back office support for call centre and working at a bank. Plus some admin work whilst temping. Got a degree in business and marketing.

Have applied for admin positions in the past but fail to pass the interview as the potential employers want someone with experience in admin. I use computers outside work and a fast learner with new systems etc as my colleagues can say.

I don’t mind some contact with customers. Don’t want to deal customers all the time - ok with dealing with customers accounts without talking to them like I did with back office support.

Plus which are the best websites to look at? Some websites have a crap search engine. I put my postcode and 15 miles from that, Get jobs 40 miles away. 15 miles is my limit - as otherwise my extra pay will be on fuel.

Another thing I don’t want is selling as I feel uncomfortable doing that and that was the reason why I left the bank

Would you consider working in a charity? Maybe in fundraising or another office/remote based post?

Most jobs seem to be on indeed these days but it might be worth going to a local recruitment agency.

Would you do a course to make yourself more marketable?
There are some free ones on the department for education site.

Look at advanced apprenticeships?

Have a look at the NHS Trust site for your area

Plenty of roles where you could transfer skills, ward clerks ( not sure if they still call them that ) reception, medical records are just three at the top of my head
