Is it reasonable to ask neighbours to stop doing this?

I have a two year old. I probably wouldn’t care if I didn’t. But every evening I can smell thick weed over the hedges. We are in a detached house off a private road and I know it’s coming from next door. I don’t know them other than to say hello to but we own our homes so I don’t want to make things awkward. It’s happening when dd is outside playing and it hits you as soon as the door is open onto the lawn.

I mean you could ask if they could do it somewhere else/wait until DD is in bed? The worst they can say is no and then you’re in the same position. I think as long as you aren’t judgemental to them it shouldn’t be a big issue. You never know the reasons.

Just say "I don't want my child inhaling drugs. Can you smoke indoors please".

Just go round and tell them you can smell weed coming from their house regularly and the smell is going into your home. Ask them to please do it elsewhere.
Its really inconsiderate of them, weed smells so strong and i wouldn't want it wafting into my house with young children.

My mum had this issue. Sadly she lacks a filter and loudly shouted over the fence “I’ll just take my clean washing in so it doesn’t smell like weed you selfish fucking pot heads”

they brought her flowers and I don’t think she’s had the same problem since 🤦🏼‍♀️

Sweet Jesus!! Who are the 40% of people who think this is acceptable. I am glad I live in a field!.
Cannabis is illegal and it stinks.

Weed is so anti social because of the smell! We had this in a flat we rented if we had our balcony doors open.

I think there’s no harm in having a word with them.

Go in hard and shock them. Position yourself infront of their house at 7.45 am with your sleeve rolled up and a belt tightened as a tourniquet on your upper arm. When they leave the house violently tap your arm and melt some sugar in a spoon with a lighter. Wink and them and say "look forward to smelling your weed later". Inject yourself with water and roll your eyes back in your head.

I'd love to have the guys to do this to our weed smoking bastard neighbours.
