To feel attached to house plants

My son and daughter me asked me to look after their houseplants whilst they enjoy uni life. Under my care these plants have flourishing... I love potting them on, feeding them, taking cuttings etc. I am attached to them and enjoy looking after them. Kids are moving into private lets this year and want their plants back. I can see the dried up consequences of this request. AIBU to say no!

😄 I think you have to give them back but could ask to keep the cuttings

Ask them if you can replace their plante and keep them.

Keep a few cuttings, give the original plants back

Ask them if you can replace their plante and keep them.

This seems like a good idea.
I sympathise with you OP. I get really attached to plants- house or garden.
